What are the data validation steps or statistical tests that can be applied to test the accuracy of RADOLAN data?

I am wondering, if there are any specific tests to vadilate RADOLAN data.

Hi Sandeep,

In general any appropriate statistical tests might help here. The main point is with what source of truth you validate against. The RW data is already adjusted to ombrometer (rain gauges, which have their own statistical errors).

One thing to look at is the RADKLIM project of DWD Wetter und Klima - Deutscher Wetterdienst - Our services - Radar Climatology where the radar data is specially reprocessed to minimize errors of any sort.
