Already quite some effort was put into xradar package for reading and writing radar data. The current documentation is available at xradar — xradar 0.0.8.dev3+g7cb42bf documentation.
You already can play with the package, as it is available on PyPI and conda-forge.
We would like to encourage discussion on the Data Model in a wider audience.
