I’m currently processing CAPPI radar data in the form of average reflectivity at an altitude of 3 km and radius of 200 km from .nc4 format which derived from Rainbow products. However, I’m curious as to why my CAPPI average data is showing uneven figure especially at sweep elevation between sweep 4 and 5. Can anyone explain why this is happening? the issue is most likely because you are using a nearest neighbour scheme. It would be great, if you could also present how you are creating the CAPPI. It really depends on the used algorithm and/or if any interpolation is used. Another thing to consider is which preprocessing has been done on the raw data.
