Would be great to see this either in Py-ART or in another package using Py-ART or xradar. I think there is a quick paper in this as well!

BTW I think 17mins is worst case 
I bet there are ways we can get this faster.

@scollis Yes, the 50 m grid spacing experiment was definitely pushing the limits (computation complexity). Py-ART’s performance was decent at coarser resolutions though.
