ERAD 2024 - Short Course - Open Radar – Open Source Software Tools for Radar Data Processing

Dear community,

our short course proposal for ERAD 2024 in Rome :it: was accepted :tada:. The short course is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2024.

After 2014 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen :de:, 2016 in Wageningen :netherlands: , 2018 in Antalya :tr: and 2022 in Locarno :switzerland: this is now the 5th short course which is embedded within ERAD. Time to celebrate :tada: and also time to create a great short course again.

The course will be announced shortly on the ERAD 2024 web page at https://www.erad2024.it. Please register!

Dear community,

here is a short follow-up note for the course preparations. We’ve created GitHub - openradar/erad2024: Repo for the ERAD 2024 Open Radar Short Course for the ERAD2024 Open Radar Short Course. All subsequent course developments (presentations, notebooks etc.) will take place over there.

From now on we will use the monthly Open Radar Community Meeting for course preparations. Next meetings are May 8th, June 5th, July 3rd, July 31st, August 28th.

Course Registration will open shortly, please go to https://www.erad2024.it/ for latest information. After registration closes we will conduct a pre-course survey to be able to adapt the course material to participants responses.

If you are interested to attend, please register for ERAD2024 and do not forget to register for the short course, too. Information on short courses are available from the Program - Erad24.

Last week during the Open Radar Community Meeting, we mentioned interest in setting up a dedicated hack time to work on preparation for the ERAD short course.

Dear community,

just yesterday the ERAD2024 Organizing committee notified me, that our course will take place as planned. Currently there are 22 participants (19 on-site, 3 on-line). The registration is still open until July 20, 2024.

We will be meeting on Monday August 5 at 14 UTC to discuss final preparations for the upcoming short course. This will be a recurring meeting on Mondays from now, until the short course (Sunday September 8, 2024).
